New Year Eve party in Miami /Miami Beach

Hi, going to be in Miami for the New Year from Dec 29 thru Jan 2, stay at Ocean Drive, don%26#39;t know what to do about New Year%26#39;s Eve, any recommendations on parties, events, clubs? Where to go, which club is better for it (to celebrate New Year)? Personally, I like disco/pop music, but it looks like its not popular now in the clubs. Anyway, I found out that Mansion has a party, Prive and ect. What to choose? Buy tickets in advance or just buy it when I%26#39;ll be in Miami?

Wait until the beginning of December to see what events are announced and DEFINITELY get tickets in advance. We will post updates here on the forum but you can also check ticketmaster.com, wantickets.com, cooljunkie.com and the websites of all the clubs you mentioned.

Get on the myspace or facebook pages of the clubs as well to see what guest lists open up.

You definitely need tickets in advance since its a total madhouse on New Years Eve in Miami Beach.

You can try www.newyears.com for tickets -- there are not many events posted yet but they steadily flow in the closer it gets. They have tickets to pretty much every event on NYE -- I bought my tickets there last year and they have pretty much every price option, from simple door passes to VIP tables with champagne and liquor included.

I called newyears.com and they%26#39;re going to start selling once they complete their contracts, or something like that, so I just went ahead and bought them.

All of the clubs will play a mixed format on new year%26#39;s eve. Meaning, it will be a mix of pop, house/techno, hip-hop, etc. Since it%26#39;s not a regular night, they cater to all types of music to try to make everyone happy.
