Help needed urgently please !

Hi, posted a couple of messages but no reply, please help ! Travelling to South Beach over the Christmas period and am wondering what is situation with restaurants/bars open on Christmas eve and Christmas day - would we have to book somewhere for dinner or are most places generally open ? Also are there any city events worth going to on these days ? Thanks

Most restaurants will be open on Christmas Eve and/or Day, especially those located in hotels. A reservation is a good idea, same goes for clubs.

Important cultural events such as concerts, plays, ballet, etc. are usually not scheduled for the 24th and 25th of December. None of Miami%26#39;s sport teams have games scheduled for the 24 and 25th.

Performances and games resume on the 26th.

Expect the city and neighbouring communities to be festively illuminated. The largest Christmas tree is to my knowledge in Bayside in downtown Miami.

Enjoy your vacation. Mimi

PS to the above: Go to www.miamisunpost.com

and click on their calendar. They offer a pretty comprehensive listing of events including dates, locations as well as telephone numbers to call for info and reservations.

Christmas day, government, banks, professional %26amp; business offices close; larger stores %26amp; shopping centers generally close. Some local restaurants will close, but in general anything that serves the tourist business will be wide open and busy. There is no boxing day. Dec 26th is generally one of the busiest shopping days of the year for cut price sales %26amp; returns.

Thanks very much - looking forward to visiting
