Been in KW almost 2 weeks now and having a fantastic time. Walked for miles each day, climbed the lighthouse, fantastic views and worth the effort.
Been in Hemmingways house and also the butterfly place-that is beautiful.Went to fort Zac for the day, southern most beach also-nice lunch there.Visited the lovely cemetery, memorial beach, watched the cruise ships coming and going and of course the fabulous sun sets and the entertainers.
Good food and service at Outbacks, Jimmy Buffets and Duffys. Staying in a private house so lots of bbq%26#39;s as well so not done that many of the restaurants for dinner.
Now I am just about ready for some retail therapy but notice that some of the nicer shops that were here last trip (7 years ago) have gone. Do any of you kind people know if the Outlet Centre up by Miami is still there? Went there last time and stocked up with lots of pressies for my sons and grand children. Don%26#39;t want to make the long drive only to find that is gone as well !!
Thanks in advance as pretty sure someone will know the answer to this!
Outlet
Sounds like you have been having a great time. Is this the outlet you are thinking of?

Outlet
Arnie-you are a GEM!!! That is the very place, I recognise the Nike building. Thanks for taking the time to reply-much appreciated. Will be on my way there tomorrow!
Yes-we are having a great time re-visiting all our favourite places. Weather (to us) is fabulous although locals we know are complaining it%26#39;s cold. Not half as cold as it will be when we get back to the UK on 30th.so making the very most of every minute here.
Sounds like you%26#39;re having a nice holiday....enjoy your stay. If you are jonesing for little British things like Branston or chocolate there is Millie%26#39;s on Front Street, behind CVS.
%26#39;Retail Therapy%26#39; at the outlets - oh my! My wife works at the office in an outlet mall. They pay her. I had no idea that she was being paid to receive therapy! But then I%26#39;m a man so I%26#39;m retail challenged by definition.
Dear GOD, MAN! Do try more than Outback and Marguritaville!! This isn%26#39;t Orlando! We have REAL restaurants as opposed to chains. Conch Farm, Hog Fish, Blue Heaven, Croissants de France, 915 etc, etc etc. The exchange rate makes these places extremely affordable! Seriously, try to get out more!
(As for the shopping... Sorry mate, you%26#39;re on your own. lol )
KWT-Thank you, we saw Millies the other day but are quite happy with anything we can get in Publix or Win Dixies-no yearnings for English stuff.
Ooooh fancy working in an outlet mall-can earn it and spend it all in one place ha-ha.
Tim-hard to believe probably but neither of us like ANY fish or sea food so hard to please. Have eaten out quite a lot but couldn%26#39;t tell you the names of any other places as don%26#39;t really look! But have had liquid refreshments in quite a few of the watering holes and watched the world go by as well. Enjoyed ';Elvis'; in the Bull the other day-very amusing!
Sorry I can%26#39;t help with your shopping question but I just had to say.....Duffy%26#39;s is one of my favourite restaurants!!! I am surprised I don%26#39;t see more of it in here. The prime rib is great and my personal favourite is the teriyaki tenderloin tips. Don%26#39;t get me wrong...I love shrimp and seafood but sometimes a body just needs beef! lol The prices are pretty reasonable too : )
Another fave for burgers is Lulu%26#39;s Kiss.
Duffys is great. I think it just doesn%26#39;t get suggested to often here because its not a key westy place. Lulus Kiss closed a while back.
I think Duffy%26#39;s is an excellent value. It%26#39;s not the same quality as Michael%26#39;s, but not the same price either. Still they do a really nice prime rib.
Sorry to learn that Lulu%26#39;s kiss has closed. I was there last December. Boy time flies!!!
