Boat Parade Dec. 13th

We will be there during this event, and have never seen it before. It says it is sponsored by Schooner Wharf and Captain Morgan. Would Schooner Wharf be the best place to watch? I imagine it might mean getting there for B-fast to get a seat. Any other suggestions for a good place to watch and have a few at the same time?

I am so bummed. We are leaving the afternoon of the 13th so will miss this. I understand that MM24 will be playing for this event too! If you have never seen them before you have to make a point of catching them.

Schooner Wharf would be a great place to watch it but anywhere along there would be good, even if you wind up standing for a while.

SWB is a great place as is the Tower Bar at Turtle Kraals. Actually, anywhere along the bight will do it for ya!

No Way! MM24 going to be there - dang we%26#39;re heading out of town that morning to catch our cruise from FLL. We saw them last May and they were GREAT! I would have loved to see the boat parade too - we saw the FLL edition a couple years ago and it was fantastic.

That is what I heard and I wish I could remember where. I just checked out his schedule and it%26#39;s not listed. It only has Boondocks on the 28th of this month, then Fort Zachary on Dec 27th and Sugarloaf Koa for New years eve. Dang it, the brain is going...lol I will definately post if I find out for sure.

Key West Lighted Boat Parade

Decorated and lighted boats cruise through Key West Harbor and the waters of the Historic Seaport. Musical guests Howard Livingston and Mile Marker 24 to be featured. This event is sponsored by Schooner Wharf Bar and Captain Morgan.

whew...here it is...the brain is still in fair shape...lol

Be sure to catch the Boat Parade and MM24 if you are going to be in town. If you are at the Schooner Wharf Bar, you want to get a seat by the door by the water in the old pool room or just stand on the dock. If you are seated inside you won%26#39;t see anything. You can also see from the Conch Republic Seafood Restaurant. There will be a crowd at the SWB, but they will be prepared with outside bars to accommodate the crowds. If you need to sit, people will be siting along the dock and Harbor Walk. The judges will be at the SWB, so that is the best place to be. Lots of fun..see you there!!

If SW and the Tower Bar are to crowded try to get a table by the water at the Half Shell. Have a few cold beers and some oysters while you are watching the boats go by!

FrozenNorth...we will be there and I am really not opposed to getting to the SWB for breakfast to get a good seat...LOL!

Thanx everyone for all the advice, I think it looks like we will try the SWB first, we don%26#39;t need a seat so as long as we can get drinks on the dock it sounds like a plan. I have never seen MM24, so I am also looking forward to that. We will try to get there a little early to maybe score a seat and some apps. Pirates we%26#39;d see ya there for B-Fast %26amp; Bloodys but by the time of the parade we might not be able to tell the difference between the lights at the bar or on the boats, and actually might not care.:) :) lol. But seriously, we arrive late on the 11th, so the 12th will be our first full day in Key West, and I haven%26#39;t been since last November, so we will probably be going to B-fast on the 13th just for the Bloody%26#39;s because I am sure I am going to need them. I am planning on a serious hangover! :) See ya there Pirates!!!
