Romantic getaway hotel in the Keys

We%26#39;re having a very simple wedding at a vacation property in Islamorada in March 2009 but, as some family will be in attendance, I%26#39;d like to spend one night away at a romantic hotel somewhere.

We have a 2 year old and it%26#39;ll be the first time I%26#39;ve left her overnight so I need to know I%26#39;ll have cell phone coverage!!

I%26#39;m looking for recommendations for somewhere, South of Islamorada, in the Keys for a one night romantic getaway. I%26#39;ve been to Key West and that%26#39;s wayy more commercial than I have in mind. I%26#39;d love a bit of pampering, fantastic food and peace and quiet! As we%26#39;re Ocean side for our vacation maybe a Bay side hotel?

Any recommendations much appreciated.

Little Palm Island - hands down if it%26#39;s in your budget.

Casa Morada - there in Islamorada. The Moorings in Islamorada has a great honeymoon cottage.

Hawks Cay is beautiful - it is a large property, but it%26#39;s very nice. The only one that%26#39;s on the bayside is Casa Morada. I would choose by property, not whether it%26#39;s bayside or not, it doesn%26#39;t make that big of a difference at most of these places.

you may want to try tranquility bay in marathon it is gulf side, a new i would call it a condo hotel. it is beautiful. while not south there is bayside inn key largo, try the one bedroom suite, it is pretty private, i like number 402, there are only two one bedroom suites and they are both bayfront overlook the pool and the bay with the boats in the water it is a fantastic site and it also gets the sunsets oooh how beautiful. it does not have the glitz of hawks cay or the spa and all but the sunsets and views are not to be forgotten and it is quite private.
