Holiday Inn International Drive Florida

I am going to Holiday Inn International Drive Florida Sept and wondered if to take A Tower room or Resort or does anyone have any opinions after staying there? Help as some of the reviews are making me very nervous, there are nine of us - party of 4 and party of 5!

Holiday Inn International Drive Florida

Just returned after 6 nights there. Tower room OK. 2 adults and 2 children with enough room, TV, coffee, fridge. I found the public areas tatty but found I-Drive to be tatty also. Large groups gather at night so noisy and a little intimidating but never had/saw trouble. Too much trafic and too many Brits gave the feel of Blackpool. It is just a base but would not return to this area therefore hotel. Forewarned is forearmed!

Try Olive Garden restaurant 1 mile south, excellent.

Holiday Inn International Drive Florida

Hi there - we spent 4 nights at this hotel a month ago, and like has been said, the public areas are a bit tacky, as is IDrive itself. I thought the areas round the lifts reminded me of being in a tower block!

However, our tower room (11th) was large and spotless and we really enjoyed the pool. We had a room overlooking I4 which in the end proved a bonus as we could watch the fireworks from both Disney %26amp; Universal at the same time - it was like watching Wimbledon! We%26#39;ve mostly always stayed on this strip of IDrive purely because it%26#39;s so convenient for getting anywhere - and it%26#39;s good for being able to go out and have a wander. We%26#39;ve never in all the times we%26#39;ve been there seen any trouble or felt intimidated in any way. One night we walked to Universal, had dinner then went to the cinema - and walked back around 10.30pm and met more folk coming back than we did on the way there - however I know not everyone would be keen to do that.

To sum up - relax and try not to worry. At the end of the day it%26#39;s not as if you%26#39;ll be spending a lot of time in your room. If I was to get a good deal again, I%26#39;d have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.

Remember to let us know how you go. Have a good trip!

We went to florida and stayed at the Holiday Inn International Drive and were disappointed. I Drive has changed dramatically over the years and now looks and is very drab and dated. The hotel room in the tower although large wasn%26#39;t at all clean, it was in need of repair and very very dated. The extension leads with wires in were left trailing on the floor and the mould was present in the bathroom. The hotel did offer to move us to one of their executive rooms but apart from the view there was no difference. Our disney experience was very good as only the Americans can do and look after you like no one else! I would recommend the holiday but not the hotel. One last thing I thought flying Virgin was the best option, think again, you don%26#39;t get anything extra but pay through the nose.
