virgin holidays amendments

Got an 18n holiday booked staying in a hotel from 2 may 2009 but are wanting to change it to april/may 2010....we know there%26#39;ll be a 拢25 amendment fee if we were to change it from 09 to 2010 but...

We are now thinking of going with the family in 2010 and getting a villa so cancelling our already booked 2009 holiday would mean we%26#39;d loose 拢250...the two of us plan however to only stay in the villa for 14 nights and then revert to a hotel come the end of the holiday (more than likely on i-drive) for another 4 nights...

now am i right in thinking you can book a holiday with virgin say for 18 nights but only have a hotel for part of the holiday..? If so this will save me loosing 拢250-ish wouldn%26#39;t it and therefore I should only have to pay the 拢25 amendment fee shouldn%26#39;t i? The prices/brochures are out a week tomorrow so i will give them a call then but what do you guys think?

Ok so i might be paying more than a flight would cost and a hotel doing it separately, wouldn%26#39;t probably get to sit with the family on the plan AND would be restricted to the hotels that virgin offer (but we%26#39;d head back to the fairfield anyway as we%26#39;ve stayed there before) but i would%26#39;ve thought it would still be cheaper to do it this way than loose 拢250...

virgin holidays amendments

One year we changed our holiday completly. We were going to the Florida Keys in October and changed it to St Lucia the following easter. They charged us 拢25 for each adult. Maybe change it to a flydrive with no accomadation?

virgin holidays amendments

they will only charge 拢25 pp amendment fee - the brocure going up till end of april 2010 is out 27/11, so you can change then.

If you want to change to a date after this time in 2010 they will canx the booking a retain the deposit

until you can book again (may 2010 onwards are out in April 2009).

I have just done this for another customer - you dont have to have the same hol you can change it to what you want.

The fly drive though is really expensive though i%26#39;ve found, i%26#39;m thinking that a holiday with only a few days in a hotel will probably work out cheaper still...

Can you not just change the booking for an accommodation only booking with Virgin hols - ie. the 4 nights in the hotel that you want. Your deposits already paid will prob cover the hotel cost - you will be charged the admin fee of course but this will then free you up to book flights and car hire with the rest of your family.

You guys must be doing something I%26#39;m not. I really enjoyed booking my holiday with Virgin Holidays but making minor changes was a nightmare (they had trouble understanding, couldn%26#39;t answer most of my questions, couldn%26#39;t work out the new prices and then gave me totally wrong information) and now I need to make huge changes I%26#39;ve been transferred around to different areas and have basically been told they can%26#39;t help me.

Sorry, that%26#39;s my whinge for the day. But I%26#39;m so annoyed I am going to ask a local travel agent to take over the booking and if they can%26#39;t I%26#39;m thinking I would rather blow my deposit and start again with a company who offer end to end service.

What %26#39;huge%26#39; change are you talking about..?

ok so i%26#39;m now thinking of come thursday getting a price for accomodation only meaning i%26#39;ll only have to fork out 拢25pp (and yes my already paid deposit can be used towards the total amount) OR cancelling 14 existing nights and leaving 4 and keeping the flight....

When do virgin atlantic have sales for april/may time please?

I want to change my ticket to come back to the UK via Australia and also add either a week in another centre in Florida (at the moment we have 2 weeks in Orlando) or a week in Hawaii. And I wanted to add in a car and change some of my tickets around. I know I%26#39;m not a travel agent but I can%26#39;t see why this would be hard for someone who is.

H

wow that is huge and to be honest understand that it might not be as straight forward as paying 拢25pp to amend it...

i also need to change my xmas flights to next summer as we cant go in dec but they are going to cost 拢1.000 more, i cant afford this virgin are no help, i may cancel but will lose a heap of money my heads done in

I have never had any trouble changing a holiday with Virgin Holidays, last year I added on 3 extra nights, which meant a change in flights an extra hotel and extra car hire, I also added on Discovery Cove tickets, the lady on the phone was lovely and only charged me one lot of 拢25 even though it was for 2 adults and a child.
