Disney Christmas Parade Taping
Thanks Partypa - I enjoy watching the taped version on TV with my nephews!
Disney Christmas Parade Taping
bump
My sister and I have been going to WDW the first weekend in December for at least the past 5 years. Around 3 or 4 years ago, we stumbled upon the taping purely by accident. We were entering MK on a Friday morning at opening time, and a CM approached us and asked us if we wanted to participate in the taping. We said sure, and we were whisked off to a room in Tomorrowland, then we were taken to the performance area where we saw the Goo Goo Dolls perform. We were in the very front near the stage, and on Christmas Day there were several shots of us on TV!
Since then, the taping has picked up in popularity. Lately they%26#39;ve been distributing tickets, and last year we stood on a super-long line to get our wristband (once we produced our tickets). We had our three-year-old niece with us. It was for the taping of the segment with Jessica Simpson and the Harlem Gospel Choir. We were out in the sun for at least three hours, and they were telling us to look like we were cold! (It was around 80 degrees that day.) Then, a group of about 5 people with newborn infants dressed as princesses marched through the crowd of us who had been waiting for hours and went straight to the front. People were pushing, shoving and crowding their way to the front.
This year we are going the second week of December. We are simply not interested anymore - it isn%26#39;t worth the frustration. We didn%26#39;t even bother to watch the parade on TV on Christmas Day last year.
