What to do/where to stay

I know this has probably been asked before,... but,...never been to anywhere in Florida before and we%26#39;re doing a little tour around the south of Florida before heading up to Disneyworld. (at the end of December - beginning of January)

We are stopping in Miami on our way back, hopefully even for a night (haven%26#39;t quite decided yet), so we are wondering what are some things to do if we only have around 4-5 hours/a whole day? Also, where are some nice places to stay, hopefully for under $200 a night (don%26#39;t know if this is reasonable??). There will be either 4, 7 or 9 of us, depending on what the other families are doing, 3 kids, ages 8, 11 and 13.

Any help will be appreciated.

What to do/where to stay

If you only have 4-5 hours, just go to South Beach and walk around. You can see the Miami beach, the art deco architecture, Ocean Drive (the iconic Miami Beach picture), etc.

As to where to stay for under $200, tough to answer this question as the time of year you are coming is the start of our high season. You just need to start looking online to see what you can find. Then come back and post the locations you have found and we can better help you.
