I cant believe it.

I was meant to go NEXT WEEK-we have our plane tickets and everything+even started packing. I cant believe it-had to take the morn work coz i was too upset.





If u paid with a credit card or a VISA debit card, u can contact your card company. This is the easiest way-they are sending out forms for everyone to fill in and claim. All u have to do is print off that ';we%26#39;ve gone into administration page'; on the net and they will refund u. Usually between 10-14days i%26#39;ve been told. Alternatively use the ATOL claim form but they may take 28days.





Many companies are trying to pick up the pieces with ';deals'; but beware-some of them are cashing in on this situation and are charging quadruple the price for packages/flights. I%26#39;m going to wait a month or so before i re-book. Hope this helps. Any queries ask away-i%26#39;ve been doing a lot of research and don%26#39;t think i%26#39;ve missed ANYTHING today-considering we were so close to going :(

debit card wont do a thing you dont have the same cover as with credit card,i booked last week,managed to find alternative flights with virgin the next day but as i paid with debit i have to claim with atol,i wouldnt hold my breath with atol taking 28days they have thousands to sift through

If your Debit card is a VISA one you may be covered. Check with your provider.





And Please please get a CC. This is one major reason I am always harping on about them. Just because you use a CC doesn%26#39;t mean you will pay interest if you pay it off every month. But it does cover you for everything booked or bought in the UK over 拢100 and prob USA as they will take up your case. and in this case you would get a complete refund. This includes internet shopping and everything, not just travel.





And if you got stuck somewhere, you%26#39;d have a method of payment if your currency ran out.




Visa debit cards are also protected....but as for big companies trying to cash in..you obviously havent seen virgins offer to tcd customers, I think its good of them to do it!

Yes i saw that today-Virgin are being great but they can only help 2009 customers. We cant find anything even similar to the deal we had-2 weeks at Disney%26#39;s Caribbean Beach Resort with Free Dining Plan and 14 day Ultimate Pass to the theme parks. Now it seems prices have doubled or more! We now have to wait for our refund (i%26#39;m hopefully getting mine straight from Barclays with their ';chargeback'; scheme, as i used a VISA debit card)beofre we can even consider re-booking with anyone else. We have no holiday and no money :(




The vouchers are now NOT valid- anyone thats still hoping..........
