all star sports and the pop century resort?

I booked a holiday to florida at the pop century resort. However i received my receipt in today and it says that my accomodation is all star sports. i thought the all star sports and the pop century were 2 different hotels. am i right?

i didnt want to stay in the all star sports thats why i picked the pop century as the pictures and reviews were better

Yep you are dead right - Pop Century and All Star Sports are 2 different hotels!

If you definitely booked the Pop Century call or visit whoever you booked with and ask them to change it asap because it sounds like they have messed up your booking!!!

They are indeed two separate hotels. Pop Century is in a different location than all of the All Star value resorts (movies, music, sports).

They are two different resorts. It might just be confusing coding on the ticket or maybe they really do have you booked in the wrong resort? I%26#39;m booked for the Pop too and on my receipt/ticket had an AS on it so maybe they classify all 3 of those value resorts as All Stars? Might want to just call and confirm.

Did you book directly with Disney or through a travel company?

You should have a confirmation number of some kind if you booked directly with Disney.

Depending on when you are traveling, Pop Century fills up very fast, even in off season times, so you may have been put in All-Stars as an overflow for an overbooked Pop Century during your dates.

I wanted Pop for my upcoming December trip too, but had to settle for All-Star Movies. Pop was already over booked.

If you booked through Disney, it would say Pop Century CLSSC...we booked through Disney and just received our confirmation papers yesterday and it clearly says Pop Century.

The All Stars resorts are different and all right beside each other....we have stayed at All Star Movies and Pop Century several times but not having any children into Sports Themes we havent stayed at All Star Sports.

If it turns out that they moved you there because of an overflow at Pop, it isnt worth worry about too much, the All Star resorts and Pop are the same as far as amenities go....they are all really really cute, have the same size rooms, food courts, and nicely manicured grounds...the only thing we like better about Pop is that it doesnt share buses with any other resorts and all three of the All Star resorts use the same buses so it gets a bit crowded and the wait is sometimes a bit longer but nothing to ge that upset over..

I realize that it is disappointing to be in a different resort than you had planned but all of the Disney value resorts are really cute.

Hope it was just a mistake and everything is just as you had invisioned.

What are the Dates you are booked for ?

Would you say then the Pop Century is better than the All stars? We have a price for Aug 09 and have a choice of the Pop or any of the AS for the same price

The best thing about Pop Century is that they do not share the same busses. Otherwise the hotels are very similar. We actually prefer All Star Movies over Pop Century.

you might know this already but if you stay in a moderate resort instead next Aug, your whole family will be entitled to the free quickservice dining plan, might be worth a look as its a great deal.

Yeah Iv had a look at that Im going with 2 friends this time rather than the family and to upgrade to the Moderate it was a few hundred more so personally for us it wasnt worth it for the counter service. If I had kids then I deff would because the free dining is a great thing from Disney. So decided to stay at the value and spend more on clothes!
