WDW / Unive Check-in times - Questions re resort benefits?

Hi all I have a few queations that i need help with regarding the activation of resort benefits.

First Universal

We arrive in Orlando for 2 weeks in Dec/Jan - first week we are staying off WDW and have flexplus ticket. Having read several posts re Express passes I am thinking may be worth booking a couple of nights at one of the Univ Hotels on site - given that we will be there busiest time an Express tickets are $50 each.

My question is though around the activation of resort benefits. I notice on Universal web that check-in is at 4pm. Hence do we really only get to benefit from resort benefits after 1st night? And if check out is 11am - how do we benefit on the last day?

We could end up spending 拢拢拢拢 for 2 nights - which to my mind should be 3 days and only get resort benefits for day in between.

WDW

For 2nd week we then move to WDW to AKL. We have a 7 day magic your way ticket + Dining PLan. What time can we check in to start using the dining plan / resort benefits etc?

At Both

you can check-in at any time. Your room may not be ready but you will get your Room Key and be able to take advantage of all the Resort Benefits

The same will work for the day you check-out. The Resort Perks are good til midnight so

At Universal Hotel, you can check-in early, get your Express pass and off you go to have fun

At Disney Resorts, agian, check-in any time and get your Key to the World Card and begin your adventure :)
