We leave in a few days for Disneyworld. I have seen some reviews on the boutique and everyone seems to love it. We have reservations at the Magic Kingdom. My big question is whether or not we should purchase the costume before or during makeover. I have seen mixed reviews. Has anyone been lately and have any comments? I%26#39;m wondering about what the price of the costume (dress, shoes, tiara, etc) would be at makever. And is the quality or choice better?
Any help is greatly appreciated. My daughter is 6 and this will be a once in a lifetime experience so I%26#39;ll spend the money if it is worth it-but don%26#39;t want to just blow money away either.

See last post - details individual prices versus package price for Hannah Montana makeover.
Hope it helps.

Pictures can be provided if needed!
The Disney Princesses walking round the park were absolutely brilliant - even better than the Hannah Montana makeovers (but don%26#39;t tell my daughter i said that).
Thanks PhossyMike for the info. And yes, any pictures would be fabulous!
I agree, photos would be great if anyone would like to share or knows where I can go to view some.
Thanks!
My daughter had the HM makeover...I havent checked the link that another poster provided but its probably to my report as I did a lengthy one on prices not so long ago. The princesses look great its just my daughter at 10 was too old for that....please beware the accessories for the princesses are endless and one poor lady commented that they kept offering it to her daughter and not telling mum first that it would cost extra, then refused to take it back as her daughter had held it so therefore was used.
Prices are the same as buying off the shelf in the shop so if you want to buy cheeper go elsewhere..if you have a costume at home that is just as good take that and save some money. Pick you package and if that is your budget make sure they are aware that you do not want your daughter to be offered anything that is not included in that package.
And do not waste money on buying the shoes unless included in the package...they are dressing up shoes and not suitable for walking around in all day.
Another question: We scheduled the castle package. Is everything included or will they still try to add on extras? The site states what the package starts at so I was unsure what all was included.

You get one printed photo with the package, the others are because we had the PhotPass CD. You can take your own photos.
I will delete this link in a couple of days
We had the Castle package. They ask you to choose what hair you want and what Princess you want to be. We have done it twice. Once with fairy tale princess hair and once with Disney Diva. Both were fantastic. In Downtown Disney we had a pager and you go back and they show you to the dressing room. Set out is the dress, wand ,tiara and shoes. They don%26#39;t try and push anything else on you. You go in with your little girl and put the dress and shoes on. they have plastic carriers hanging for the clothes they were wearing.
You then go to a fairy Godmother who makes them into a princess whilst they are turned away from the mirror. They are then turned around at the end. it is magical for any little girl.
You can take as many photos as you like but the Disney photographer takes many also. You then go to the photographer who takes the formal photos.
One of the reasons we have done this more than once is the standard of these photos. You choose one bigger one and two each of a smaller one and it is impossible to choose the best so we end up buying the CD.My daughter, 7, was Cinderella and they took her sitting on the ground with the dress spread out holding the glass slipper. These photos chronicle her at different ages as different Pricesses.
All the Disney staff are primed to welcome them as princesses all around Downtown Disney making them feel extra special so you will not be disappointed with this package at all.
Nellie- That%26#39;s such a lovely idea to have her age as the princesses (at least while she%26#39;s young!) My Mom and I take pictures at the Adventureland Bridge. She took one with her Mom on her first visit when she was 16, the first one we have together is when I was 3. And we%26#39;ve taken one ever since! It%26#39;s great to have something to see the changes. (Neat to see how the surroundings change too-or in this case, how the costume will change!)
My daughter was at BBB at MK, a few months ago. She loved being able to choose her own costume, wand, shoes, and crown. The dressing room is truly fit for a Princess!
I would wait until you arrive at BBB, to select a gown. There is one gown choice, for each of the Princesses; Snowy, Cindy, Belle, Ariel, %26amp; Aurora. (may be others, I forgot) There are several shoe, wand, and crown selections.
The prices are the same as they would be at MK Tinkerbell%26#39;s Treasures, etc. These are NOT the ';couture'; gowns, that Disney sells for $85 - $100. BBB gowns are good quality, moderate Disney costume pricing; $50 +/- for the gown, $15 +/- each; for wand, shoes, and crown. For the costume portion of your makeover, you are charged according to your selections. We did not feel pressured to purchase anything!
It was a very magical experience, from beginning to end!
Enjoy every moment!
