Need to go from Miami cruise dock to Fort Lauderdale Airport

If we need to take a taxi after we finish our cruise at the dock of Miami, to the Fort Lauderdale airport, anyone knows how much it would cost us? It%26#39;s cheaper to fly out of Fort Lauderdale than Miami, that%26#39;s why we are considering this!

Some cruise ships can set you up with a shuttle because many people fly in and out of Fort Lauderdale instead of Miami. Look into it with your cruise planner.

there is a good shuttle service. Hope you enjoy your cruise!

It%26#39;s usually somewhere between $80-100 last I heard for a taxi ( the fuel charges have caused variations) which can be shared among occupants. The cruise line arranged shuttles charge per person and are usually the most expensive option because they add in a mark up for themselves. You might post in the Miami Forum to get names of other shuttles and car services that originate there . My general rule of thumb is that for more than two , a taxi is almost always cheaper. For two , it sometmes works out about the same to use a shuittelor service.

As a local, I never have to make that trip, but TA has a sister site www.cruisecritic.com . They have a section called Boards much like the Forums here and one section is called something like Ports. There are lots of posts there about specific hotels, shuttles , car services etc that various cruisers have used successfully. Some folks seem to be able to rent a car and drive it up, dropping it off at FLL, but not all rental companies allow that. I know Hertz has a rental car outlet in Downtown Miami near the Port , but I do not know if they permit that. Hopefully cruisecritic.com will be a helpful resource for you.

we used quality limo service a few weeks ago. we also needed transportation from port of miami to fort lauderdale.

we saw alot of their vans at the port but i would call ahead and make a reservation.

quialty limo is the one you want. My guess is there were so many lined up because they work with the cruise lines. I would contact your cruise and see if you can set it up with them, probably cheaper and safer that way, BUT, having said that, I would look into a direct book option too, as you never know.
