Help Please With Teme Park Planning (Oct 10th)

Hi

Myself and my fiance (early 30%26#39;s)are heading to Orlando on Fri 10th Oct. and have a few queries to help us out. We are planing to spend 3-4 days in Orlando for the theme parks and a bit of shopping(her idea!!!!)before heading to the beach. We would like to visit MK, IOA and one other, maybe Sea World or one of the waterparks.

Which days would be best to visit each?

Will the crowds be OK that weekend or would it be advisable to buy %26#39;fasttrack%26#39; tickets?

Monday is Columbus Day,will that make any difference?

We would like to fit in as much as we can while we are there so help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks a million

Sorry for the spelling in the topic heading!!!

Help Please With Teme Park Planning (Oct 10th)

Definitely do not try to do Magic Kingdom on Monday as it will be a very crowded place. I would do Magic Kingdom on Saturday.

If you do plan on doing SeaWorld, try doing that one on Sunday. They have only 3 rides which get long lines, with most of the other ';crowded'; venues being the shows. This park handles crowded days fairly well.

Save Monday for your shopping, as you might find some sales on.

By Tuesday, it will not matter about crowds at the theme parks, so wait and do Islands of Adventure this day.

Thanks for the reply Kat

Regarding tickets, would it be worthwhile buying the fastrack tickets? Also would it be worth buying a %26#39;magic your way%26#39; ticket for one day if we wanted to visit Epcot? Or a similar type ticket for Universal Studios and Island of Adventure?

You seem to be confused on these tickets, so let me see if I can help.

Magic Your Way tickets are admission tickets to any Disney park. You will have to have a Magic Your Way ticket to gain admission to either Magic Kingdom and/or Epcot as these are both Disney parks. If you want to visit both (one park per day) you will need a 2-day base Magic Your Way ticket for each person to gain admission.

Now, once you are inside a Disney park, the Fast Pass tickets to get to the front of the line are free and are available outside each of the rides/shows that uses them. There%26#39;s nothing more to buy.

For your Islands of Adventure visit, you will need to purchase at least a one-day, one-park Universal company ticket to gain admission. On top of that, if you want the Universal Express Pass, which is their ';front of the line'; access pass, you have to purchase that for extra money, but it%26#39;s good for one ';front of the line'; access for each attraction in the park.

Now, if you go to Islands of Adventure on Tuesday as I suggested, you should have small crowds there and as such, you won%26#39;t need that extra Express Pass probably. You can buy it if you like, but crowds should be small enough for you not to need it.

Hope this clears up your confusion.

Thanks again Kat

Sorry for asking what might seem like a dopey question but are there tickets which allow admission to more than one disney park in a day? Once entered say Magic Kingdom, can you enter Epcot on the same ticket? I know thats probably too much to do for one day but we would like to keep all our options open. Likewise with Universal, can one admission ticket cover both parks on the same day?

Yes, you can buy an extra option for about $50 per ticket which will allow you to get into more than one Disney park per day. It%26#39;s called the ';park hopper'; option, but it is $50 per ticket.

Universal sells a 1-day, 2-park ticket as well, but you have to pay extra for it. Prices for Universal tickets are always changing too, so can%26#39;t give you a specific amount, but the 2-park tickets are more expensive than the 1-park tickets.

And finally......Is trying to see two parks in the one day (MK/Epcot, Universal/IOA) a bit unrealistic? Like I said we would like to see as much as possible, but would we be biting off more than we could chew? Should we buy our tickets online before we arrive in Orlando or should we wait to buy them there?

If you ask me, yes, trying to see both Magic Kingdom and Epcot on one day is too much. You%26#39;ll be missing so much if you do try this, as both these parks are ';full day'; parks in themselves, since there%26#39;s so much to see and do there.

It%26#39;s also very hard to do both Universal parks on one day, especially during that time of year when the parks close so early in the evening. You have too short of a time period to do it.

I would say skip MK altogether. Universal, Sea World and Epcot would be my choice if are only doing 3 parks.
