Where is the good shopping (not souveirs) in St. Augustine and in Jacksonville?
Shopping
There are many malls in Jacksonville (45 min-to 1 hour away from the Old City, and I am sure if you post on the Jacksonville forum, someone more knowledgeable will lead you in the right direction for shopping there.
Here is a link to the Inside Pages regarding shopping in St. Augustine area written by guests here (and locals) to peruse. You may want to also check out the other topics listed as you have never visited before.....Lots of helpful knowledge. Enjoy:

Shopping
What type of shopping are you referencing? There are outlet malls at State Rt 16 and I95. St. Augustine proper offers some nice boutique shopping in addition to the usual touristy take homes.
The St. Augustine outlet mall and the Belz outlet mall offers a large variety of brand name stores. They are both located at State Road 16 %26amp; I 95. The Avenues Mall in south Jacksonville is 2 levels with many top brand name stores like DILLARDS, SEARS,J.C. Pennys, etc.
It is about 30 minutes from St. Augustine. It really depends on what you are shopping for. If you coming for a visit to St. Augustine. I would start with the Outlet Malls here first then try Jacksonville.
I would also suggest the many stores in downtown St. Augustine. I agree with vinceygirl. Try St. Augustine first.
There are some small stores in St Augustine that have nice things. Doubt that the outlet malls or shopping centers in Jacksonville have anything different than you have in Omaha. Would sight see in St Augustine and shop at home.
It has been awhile since I stopped by the outlets but do recall a few stores that aren%26#39;t available in the Grove City Outlets near where I live. If memory serves me correctly the type of store was clothing and dealt in ?sea cotton fabric and fashions. I also purchased a batik type sleeveless dress that is not the type of clothing readily available here at home. I took home a few Lennox pieces at the right price too.
I haven%26#39;t been to the outlets for so long either when i did i liked different varieties and fun to spend some time in there just browsing around the stores.
Ponce De Leon mall is good for shopping as well and it has a cinema area too if u are interested in that too.

Just wondered if any of you even clicked on the link LN provided regarding shopping? Because all of you just repeated what that link says; just curious and making sure you all know how to get around on Tripadvisor and know of all the resources on here?
Yes Mahoney, out of curiosity I did click the link to see if there was anything new or something I may have missed in my previous travels to St. Augustine. And no nothing new or different. My thoughts are the poster was requesting some personal insight. I found the article to be more of a generic response.
Thanks for the insight vinceygirl. Very helpful.
