Honeymoon in the Panhandle - Location advise needed

I have researched a ton of condos in the panhandle area and would like some feedback (pros/coms) on the locations please.

The areas in contention are Panama City, Perdido Key, Destin, Okaloosa Island.

We are in our early 30s and would like to spend most days on the beach relaxing watching sunsets and eating good food. We don%26#39;t need much of a nightlife, but would like a few good restaurant recommendations and a Publix/grocery store near by. We wouldn%26#39;t mind going out a few nights to a ';boardwalk'; type of area.

TA has been my guide in the past - please help and provide yor feedback and experiences.

Thank you for your time!

By the way, I should mention we are coming the week of Thanksgiving. I think the temps will be nice there on the beach, high 70s low 80s during the day and 50-60s at night. Thanks again!

Look at Henderson Park Inn and see if it fits your needs.

Just FYI ~ my last trip to the Panhandle for Thanksgiving (Pensacola Beach) the temperature was 29 degrees F when we arrived. We had sunny days but it was so chilly we had to find sand dunes to lay by to block the wind. The water was very chilly as well. I live in SW Florida (600 miles from the Panhandle) and we have some pretty chilly Thanksgivings down here as well. It is a toss up! Since you are from Florida you know how our weather can be.....and the Panhandle is no different.

For a more low key holiday you may want to check out the communities down 30A. Seaside would offer a a relaxing and special holiday. I%26#39;ve admired the Beachside Cottages (several in a row) from afar and always thought they would make the perfect little hideaway for a honeymoon. Check out this website for an example cottagerentalagency.com/…

Best wishes for a long and happy marriage!

We have been coming down at Thanksgiving for years .

You have some cold days but generally thae weather is nice . My kids swim in the pool (it is heated )

Shorts and long sleeve t or hoodie for walks on the beach . The gulf is beautiful and looks so different from summer .

And it is deserted . You can get around town and try resturaunts you can get near in the summer .

We love it that time of year

Jimmy38, Can you describe how the gulf looks different in the winter compared to the summer?

Not sure of Jimmy%26#39;s views, but what we enjoy about the winter months is that the sun rises %26amp; sets out over the Gulf :-)

Just breathtaking!!!

We always stay on Okaloosa. Quiet, laid back, no crowds, affordable, friendly, no traffic, Pier, restaurants %26amp; grocery close by.

Just my opinion :-)

Mrs Robinson (aka olderhottie) - the water stays as beautiful in the winter as it is in the spring, summer, and fall... (with allowances for june grass, jelly fish, etc.. of course)... Some days we will have wind out of the south and have some wave action and some days the wind will be out of the north and it will look smooth like a lake...

Mrs. Robinson???

Sorry, that made me laugh.

Thanks.
