Hi everyone..... just wondering what the weather is actually like in the area at the minute??? we are due to visit 21/9/08 and wondering if we should go straight to WDW??? Hope everyone in the area in well!!

Sun is shining and temp is about 85 degrees. We won%26#39;t know for another week what Hurricane Ike is going to do but most reports are saying it will head to the gulf. You have posted on the Vero Beach forum, are you planning on going here first? Otherwise you should probably post on the Orlando forum for WDW info, etc.

yeah we are heading to Vero Beach 1st for 5 nights then on to SSR.... fingers crossed we get nice weather and it stays nice for everyone living in the area........

I agree, we are all tired of the rain we have had this year, not to mention storm after storm. Hope it%26#39;s great for your stay. Don%26#39;t know if you have been there before, FYI, Vero Beach is about 2 hours from Disney. It%26#39;s a nice small town.

hi bornwithwheels ... thanks for your replies, no we havent been to vero before been manytimes to orlando but thought we would try further afield this time...... really looking forward to it just as ive mentioned prev hope weather ok......... 13 days and counting down!!!

Driving from Orlando to Vero Beach is now quite easy, with the completion of new traffic lanes at the Orlando end of the Turnpike, new Turnpike pavement, and a new four-lane road from there to the outer limits of Vero Beach. Unfortunately, the next couple of miles have terrible pavement.

For weather, check the National Weather Service. Searching for NWS Melbourne will do.

I agree with bluerusso, take the turnpike to Vero as I-95 is majorly under construction from the Beachline south. Hope the weather is good for you, it should be clear by then unless another storm pops up.

hiya.... its now only 7 days till we arrive and im just wondering what the weather like now.....we are planning on having a really chilled time at Vero Beach and were planning just spending most of our time there round the pool and wondering if we need to change this plan due to weather???

We are having beautiful weather this weekend. Not sure what the forcast is for next week. Try this weather site www.accuweather.com and type in the zip code for Vero Beach which is 32960. It will give you a 15 day forcast. Can%26#39;t say it%26#39;s perfect but its usually pretty close. Another good weather site is www.noaa.gov.

At the beach, the water%26#39;s warmer than the air toward sunset. Tonight was a comfortable one to be out--full moon and low (for us) humidity
