How busy is it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi everyone,

I am in Orlando at the moment and I cannot believe how busy it is!!

It is my first time out here in September and I have always been told that this is one of the quietest months to come. I have been at other times when is has been much quieter!

Disney has definately been busier than Universal.

It makes it unbearable at times as it is so hot and with the crowds as well it can get a little too much. We have retreated to our villa for a couple of days to get away from it all!

We are off to Epcot today so fingers crossed it will be ok.

Anyone else out here that is fed up of the crowds?

I like end oct nov, went last year end sept cos people were saying how quiet it was but I didnt think so, compared to oct nov. Still its quieter than when we went just after easter the year before. Visiting in Feb next year!

No,I haven%26#39;t been in Sept. Just wanted to say HI,and wish you a happy time. Take it slow,and take some ';bench breaks';...have a cold drink,use the misters,and fountains.

In case you%26#39;ve never been,there%26#39;s a nice Coca Cola refreshment port near the big fountain in Future World. You can sample all the coke products from around the world. (small cups,but it%26#39;s free,and you can have as much as you like). It%26#39;s kinda fun. Just pace yourself,and you%26#39;ll have a nice time.

Sorry Act1980, my post seemed quite neagtive. Even though it was busier that expected we still had a fab time, paced ourselves and had lots of patience. We love Epcot at anytime busy or quiet so go and enjoy! It could be worse you could be there in August!!

We just got back from Orlando (left on the 15 Sept) and I didn%26#39;t find it busy at all. In fact at Disney we were getting on rides straight away. Some said 30 minutes wait but even those we only waited 5-10 minutes. Never had to use the fastpass.

I will agree with you about the heat. It was so hot and the humidity makes it very uncomfortable but we pushed on as we were only there for a week and didn%26#39;t have time to relax in the resort.

i left the 19th %26amp; was also amazed at how crowded it was...used to be this time of year was very quiet...i think the free dining changed all that...and parents must not have any qualms about taking kids out of school.

that said it still was a fab trip...we went to the park early in the am and then took a break back at the hotel in the afternoon...and scooted back to the parks in the pm!!

I just found out the Georgia had a weeks holiday last week so maybe that is why it was so busy?

They go back to school tomorrow so I am hoping it will get slower next week!

Not sure I will ever come in September again. Think I will stick to May, went last year and it was quieter than now.

Heard October is meant to be good though?

yes, we were just discussing this very topic at the TA gathering last night. Crowds do seem to be busier at Disney than the other parks. I%26#39;m sure that the free dining has alot to do with that.

Enjoy your day at Epcot and keep and eye out for partypa and welshjock, they are there having a great time too!

I am also in florida right now. We did AK yesterday and did not que at all, we walked right on most rides without even stopping moving.

At Mk on friday, we also did not experience wait times of more than 10 mins on any of the boards. We walked straight on space mountain, thunder mountain and had pick of place to watch parade. Heading to MGM today so hopefully it wont be too bad as lots of things to do that may require a wait. Leaving epcot until the food festival starts, but hope you have a great day.

It has been so hot though, yesterday i was almost unbearable but not sure if that was to do with AK being very sticky place to go.

When in May do you usually go? Just wondering if the last week in May will be crazy because of Memorial day. My kids school gets out the Friday before Memorial day, so we thought about coming last week in May. But have to say if they are doing good in school and do not miss any school all year I would not be opposed to taking them out a week early if it would really be ALOT less crowded. Anyone have suggestions on May?

With the Schools back in Ga, and fee dining over now I think?

It should get quieter for you I think.
