Can this be true?

Is there really something that will repel no-see-ums? even for someone like me - a biting bog magnet? Is there hope?

Someone give this product a try and let us know if it works!

Can this be true?

I%26#39;ll sacrifice myself to test it!(Insert hand waving smiley here).We%26#39;re going to St George Island this week and the mosquitoes are s%26#39;posed to be a b*tch there. Our health food store here sells it,so I%26#39;ll test it.Will report back..............

Can this be true?

It will be great to hear if this works- we use something called Lewey%26#39;s Eco-Blends up here in Maine during black fly season and it is very similar and yes it works when nothing else does. I remember feeling like someone had given me a miracle when a friend told me about it because you could be out in the garden again in June. I actually took it with me to Sanibel to try and see if it would work on no seeums but then we never needed to use any bug spray at all so didn%26#39;t get to try it. It does smell good but is also oily and will stain clothing (don’t know if that is case with Buzz Away just a precaution). What Buzz Away has that Lewey’s does not is the towelettes and a spray (lewey’s is only in oil form so have to mix with water to spray)- I did just see it up here at our local health food store recommended for black flies as well.

Just in case the local whitch%26#39;s brew doesn%26#39;t work and you get bitten anyway, try rubbing the inside of a banana peel on the bites. It takes the itch and sting out without you having to scratch, or apply anything with alcohol. Alchohol on the inside can work too, but that should probably be another thread... ;-)

Maybe it%26#39;s just some more ';voo-doo';, but the banana peel works for me.

To Aliceinwonderland:

If you are still that uncomfortable with the ';itch';, you might want to try Sarna Lotion...available at drugstores. It works very well for the ';swimmers itch'; that sometimes affects the kids in Northern Wisconsin lakes as well as for bug bites.

Gold Bond ointment works too.

So, ccr49, did it work? Inquiring minds want to know ;-D

Haven%26#39;t tried it yet.We go to St George Is. this Thursday. Will try it then.

I%26#39;ll pick some up for my wife, she gets bit before she%26#39;s all the way out the door.

will let you know if it works.
