which beach has the most to do i will have to take the wife to the beach, when we stay @windsor hills which is the best beach not to be bored rigid.
i have to take the wife to the beach aargh!!!
I vote for the Daytona Beach area, great beach that you can actually drive your vehicle on in areas (small fee), parasailing, bike, atv or golf cart rentals to ride on the beach. Ponce Inlet Lighthouse, Daytona Speeway tour and IMAX, Greyhound racing (new track and facility just opened this summer), Ocean Walk, Aunt Catfish%26#39;s on the River restaurant, Angel and Phelps free chocolate factory tour (half hour), and much more.
i have to take the wife to the beach aargh!!!
thanks for that the free choc sounds great
What time of year are you going? That is going to impact on how crowded some of the beaches will be and how well you will enjoy it.

for me it has to be clearwater on the gulf, its great, bars, pier etc. we stayed the night and drove to bush gardens the next day.
Clearwater beach is very nice and the sea is lovely and warm. You can hire jet skis or go out on the ';screamer';, a large speedboat and if I remember right, there is a mock pirate ship you can go on.
Of course, you could sit there all day under your parasol and fry!
if we stay a night in clearwater wheres the best place???
We stayed at the sheraton sand quay resort at south beach, it was very nice and a great location right on the beach.about $180 per night
I live in Clearwater and if you%26#39;re looking for nothing but beach and the rest boring, go to Clearwater Beach. (you%26#39;ll have to go to the mainland for entertainment.) Also, the great hotels are all going condo. What kind of beach are you looking for? The barrier islands south of Clearwater are good all the way south to St. Pete. (start with Sand Key - this may be perfect for you and actually part of Clearwater.) The best beaches are nearby: Ft. Desoto Park (nature), Caladesi Island (natural by ferry only.) But no hotels at these two locations.
I recommend Miami Beach for the upscale sophisticate looking for Rodeo Drive promenading and action. Naples is quiet, relaxing. Daytona has big beach and lots of hotels. St. Augustine for history. Destin in the panhandle. So many beaches, so little time.
Most to do: Miami Beach and St. Augustine.
