hotwire/priceline

Check www.biddingfortravel.com to see what hotels people have bid on

I use priceline in the USA all over and at UK airports.

I don%26#39;t use tham at Disney as I like to choose exactly where I stay there.

thanks , have used priceline one before for NYC ,not sure if i will use them this trip as i would like to be quite near universal and don%26#39; t know if i will be able to work out a bidding plan to get what i want .did get a bargin in nyc though...

IDK if this helps, but if you book car and hotel toether, on hotwire, it tells you what hotel you will get so you can research property and make a decision from there) Also, it has been my experience that 3 star with Priceline is 4 star with Hotwire. If you are doing hotel only, bidding for travel is a good site to get an ';idea'; of what hotel you may get

thanks for the heads up !!

I bid on a 4-4.5 hotel in Lake Buenea Vista area one year and I got the Westin Hotel for 50.00 per night. I was pretty impressed! It was an awesome weekend stay. I think you just have to know the area you bid on very well.

I always start at betterbidding.com and use their hotwire search tool. They have a thread that will give you a pretty good idea of which hotel you%26#39;re bidding on as well as a list of recently won properties. I had never used Hotwire before, and in the past 2 months I%26#39;ve booked 2 stays at great rates. Betterbidding.com made me feel more confident. I%26#39;m excited to try a Priceline booking next. I almost did for my trip to Niagara Falls but I had Hilton points so I went for the free nights.

I find the best place to do priceline bids is in large cities or at airports. You can pick your area and star rating, but it won%26#39;t matter so much which exact hotel (as it might do at WDW or in maiami if you want beachfront).

I have gotten great bargains in Miami/DT, Washingtion DC/White house area, San Francisco/FWharf. Have also used them to book rooms at airport hotels.
