weddings

does anyone have any insight on great wedding venues in the keys? we are not overly bothered which island... or just really nice hotels with nice surroundings (we are looking for reasonable rates if possible...)

thanks in advance for any pointers :o)

weddings

Check with Pierre%26#39;s, Cheeca and the Islander in Islamorada. We were married at Kon Tiki, just a small casual wedding for us. All on your own there, they don%26#39;t plan etc. Much less expensive than the others mentioned. We had a fantastic time. beautiful spot.

Tranquility Bay and Hawk%26#39;s Cay in Marathon.

Or do it yourself on Sombrero Beach (Marathon) or Sunset Beach (Key Colony). On top of the old bridge at Bahia Honda. Pigeon Key off the old 7 Mile Bridge.

Lor-a-lei%26#39;s beach in Islamorada.

Just typing as it comes to me....

The lovely buffettgal and I were married in KW in 2000. Did everything ourselves. We were married on the top of the Galleon at sunset.

You can do as much or as little as you want. You%26#39;ll pay for it with your time and coordination, or you%26#39;ll pay for it with your checkbook.

I%26#39;m getting married in May 09 down in Key West. Ceremony at Ft. Zach and reception at Ocean Key. I can reccommend a wedding coordinator if you need on down in Key West. As well as photog, cakes, florist, etc.

wait to do your recs until AFTER the wedding.....;%26gt;)

How about bayside inn key largo. they are waterfront. how many people. if you want reasonable try not to get married during the season which is higher in feb mar apr. other months you can get pretty good rates. founders park is free in islamorada. hawks cay is fantastic with fantastic rates but they just remodeled this year.

good luck and congrats
